Q & A Session

Q: What's your background? What did you do before joining ECE?

I worked in an orthopedic doctor's office and in Accounts Payable at The J.M. Smucker Company. Before that I worked at a retail shoe store for seven years. To say I acquired a massive shoe collection would be an understatement!

Q: What do you like most about working at ECE?

The people! From my first day, everyone was so nice and helpful. I asked a lot of questions, and my coworkers and supervisors were always ready to help!

Q: ECE prides itself on our Halloween celebrations. What's your favorite Halloween costume (at any age)?

The costume from my childhood that stands out the most is the year I was an angel. We had a snowstorm, and I was one of the only kids out Trick-or-Treating. I had icicles hanging off my wings that were attached to my winter coat! Free candy is a serious business.

Q: Q:What’s one of your favorite activities when you’re not working? Tell us something that others might find surprising.

I love reading. I have books piled in every nook and cranny of my house. I also enjoy drawing and watercolor painting. Last year, I found a beautiful old desk online, where I now keep all my art supplies.

Q: Where have you traveled inside or outside of the U.S.? Do you have a favorite country, city, or region that you like to visit?

My favorite place is the Pacific Northwest! Washington State and Oregon are both beautiful. I've been there several times, and it just keeps getting better. I love beachcombing, so I'm always happy by the ocean!

Q: Do you have a favorite cuisine? If yes, a particular dish you love?

Tacos are definitely one of my top favorite foods; however, nothing beats a fresh blackened grouper sandwich on the Gulf Coast of Florida!

Lightening Round!

Q: Vacation or staycation?
Vacation. I live in a landlocked state—take me to the ocean!

Q: Night or morning?
Morning. I love the sunrise and how quiet the mornings are. It's my favorite time of day.

Q: Passenger or driver?
Passenger. This one is tricky because I love driving, but I also don't trust GPS and always have my Atlas. So, if it's a long road trip, I need to navigate!

Q: City or country?
Country. I just moved out to what some might call the middle of nowhere. It's nice and quiet, surrounded by trees with a tiny lake. I love the city, but when I'm home, I want peace and quiet.

Q: Camping or glamping?
Camping. My first time camping was on the coast in Washington State. Despite the damp air and rock-hard ground, that's pretty hard to beat!

Q: Cooking or being cooked for?
Being cooked for. I am not a cook!

Q: Roommates or live alone?
Live alone. I've never lived with anyone other than family. I think I sing to myself—and my cat—too much to have roommates.

Q: Sweating or shivering?
Shivering. Shivering, any day. I hate being hot. Give me 40 degrees, five blankets, and a hoodie, and I'm happy.

We hope you’re enjoying the "Meet the Team" blog series, where the amazing talents and passions that make ECE thrive are on full display. Join us as we continue this exciting journey to explore the vibrant personalities that define ECE.
